Many of the commercial sites that SERVPRO of Hesperia / Apple Valley / Barstow / Twentynine Palms perform work on have extensive amounts of asbestos in them. This is due to the age of these buildings, as asbestos was used widely up until the late 70’s. California passed laws regulating it’s use as it was found to be harmful to inhale. This condominium had to have all of the acoustic popcorn scraped and removed, as the material used to create it is made up of friable asbestos.
As can be seen in the photo, SERVPRO pulls no punches when it comes to asbestos removal. After all the material is bagged, it is removed in a safe and sanitary manner compliant with EPA guidelines.
